The Benjamin is perfect for an overnight stay for travellers using the Hunter Expressway, Putty Road, the New England Highway or the coast road via Dungog and Stroud. We are also handy for concerts in the Pokolbin Vineyards and we never impose minimum night stays for these events. We are just a short drive from all of town's amenities including the hospital; pool and gym; tennis courts; golf course; civic centre; clubs and churches. Lone Pine Barracks and Military Museum are a short drive out of town and we host many families for March Out ceremonies.
Breakfast can be ordered upon arrival and delivered to your room each morning for an additional charge. A full breakfast includes cereal, bacon, eggs, tomato and juice and a continental breakfast includes cereal, juice and toast. Continental breakfasts can be delivered to your room in the evening to suit your routine and departure time.
All ground floor, air-conditioned rooms feature a flat-screen TV, seating area, dining table, toaster, electric kettle and a refrigerator. There is a bathroom with free toiletries, a hairdryer and a shower.
Centrally located in Singleton, The Benjamin is a short walk from restaurants, cafes and hotels, and just one block to the Rover Coach bus stop for concerts. It is a 20 minute drive from the Pokolbin vineyard region, Australia's oldest wine district. Free transfers are available from Singleton train station if arranged prior to arrival.
Please note that many GPS systems will not acknowledge our section of George St. Google maps has our exact location and is the best guide. An alternative is to enter the cross-street of Cambridge Rd and Cambridge St (or New England Hwy) into your GPS, we are just north of Cambridge St, on the right hand side of the road.
From the South via Maitland or Branxton: Go straight at two sets of lights and then past the two service stations on your left. We are on the right hand side of the road just past the car wash, turn right into our driveway instead of going over the bridge.
From the Putty Rd or Golden Highway: Go straight through two sets of lights and turn right into Elizabeth St. At the T-junction turn left onto the New England Highway (George St). Look for us on the right hand side of the road just past car wash, turn right into our driveway instead of going over the bridge.
From the North via Muswellbrook: Go straight through two sets of lights and up and over the bridge. We are the first building on your left when you get completely off the bridge (do not take the exit road). Turn left into our driveway immediately off the bridge.
